ENFOLA - CAPOLIVERI

Capo Enfola is joined to the Island by a very narrow stretch of land and is well-known for the old tuna-fishing, which worked till 1958. The tuna were caught in these waters. The beach is situated on the south coast and has a small pier and a buoys-field managed by the Association of the Amici dell’Enfola.

It’s easy to get to by car: follow the road sign Enfola-Viticcio. It’s 6 km from Portoferraio. A useful bridge, situated close behind the beach, let you admire the south coast of the Island as far as Sant’Andrea. Besides, it’s possible to hire some pedalos and tow small and medium tonnage boats through a useful slip-way.
The north side is morphologically less interesting. In fact it’s used as a "parking" for the small tonnage boats of the local fishers.
